Celebrating 100 years of liquid rocketry

Details for the 2026 Fourth Annual Liquid Propulsion Symposium are here!

This year promises to be our most exciting event yet. Keynotes will feature:

  • Tom Markusic (Co-Founder, Firefly Aerospace)

  • Tim Dodd (Everyday Astronaut)

  • Joe Barnard (BPS Space)

We’re also welcoming Loretta Whitesides (co-founder Yuri’s night) and Jordan Noone (co-founder of Relativity), along with:

  • 25+ technical and educational sessions

  • A university project exhibition

  • Live LOX loading and tank-burst demonstrations

  • And much more

New this year: Industry Day on Sunday morning, February 1, designed to connect students directly with leading space, launch, and propulsion companies. (More details coming soon!)

📅 Pre-registration: October 1–31, exclusively for university liquid rocket teams.
🎟️ Seating is limited to 350 attendees, so book early—this event will sell out fast!

The Oshkosh of Liquid Propulsion

The Liquid Propulsion Symposium is the only annual event dedicated exclusively to liquid rocket propulsion, bringing together over 400 attendees from across the country for two days of fundamental and advanced discussions. Featuring more than 30 of the top university liquid rocket teams, 25+ distinguished speakers, and a project showcase with dozens of student and amateur builds, the symposium is a hub for knowledge sharing, inspiration, and hands-on learning.

Experience live tank burst tests, LOX loading demonstrations, and an up-close look at bipropellant, hybrid, and lander rocket systems. Connect with industry experts, explore cutting-edge technology, and take advantage of valuable recruiting opportunities for the next generation of rocket engineers.

Organized entirely by volunteers and operated as a non-profit collaboration between Friends of Amateur Rocketry and Flabob Airport’s SARTEC Rocket Lab, this unique gathering exists to support and advance the liquid rocketry community—and to inspire more universities to push the boundaries of liquid rocket development.

2026 Tickets & Registration

Preregistration is open October 1–31, 2025!

University liquid rocket teams can lock in their spots early by pre-registering up to ten team members during this window. Pre-registration means purchasing your ticket ($25 each) and securing your place before tickets open to everyone else.

Here’s how to get your team code:

  1. Pick your team captain to represent your school.

  2. Have the captain email LiquidPropulsionSymposium@gmail.com to request your code and link to the ticketing system.

👉 If your school has more than one independent liquid rocket team (with separate leadership, not just different projects), you can request additional codes by identifying multiple captains. This will be a rare exception.

⚠️ Pre-registration codes expire on November 1, 2025, or sooner if capacity is reached. Starting November 1, General Admission tickets will go on sale for students active on rocket teams, industry professionals, and academics working with liquid rocketry.

Registration is limited to 350 participants and will sell out, so reserve your spot early.

PURCHASE TICKETS HERE when they are available.
